Stop At: Elephant Transit Home and Udawalawe National Park

Begin your journey at the Elephant Transit Home, where rescued baby elephants are cared for and fed before returning to the wild—an inspiring start to your adventure. Then, hop into a 4×4 jeep for a 4-hour guided safari through Udawalawe National Park. Your guide will lead you across open grasslands and jungle paths in search of elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, deer, and exotic birds. Early morning or late afternoon tours offer the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Don’t forget your camera—this is a nature experience you won’t want to miss.
